The journey starts!

While I am new to blogging, I have been fishing all of my life. Growing up a son of a wildlife biologist we were always in the field, and fishing was a way of life for us. In the beginning I tangled up every reel on my first pole, waiting not so patiently for my dad to untangle it, to teaching the love of my life to fly fish I have experienced it all. I guess for those of us with our favorite fishing hole, there is no need to explain the quiet tranquility a day on the river or lake can bring, therapy of the best kind. For those of you who may not yet know the utter peace gained let me take you on a journey, my partner by my side. Hopefully we can impart our love for nature, and our respect for the animals in it. Come along for the ride and lets feel tug on the other end of the line together.

It’s great to see you launch this new literary effort. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the same. In the meantime, Mary and I have been busy taking advantage of the winter and trying to get as much out of it as we can. Between alpine skiing, back country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiing, we have been getting out as much as we can. I’m looking forward to getting out in the field this summer.
